Rotarians value family and friendship. Orange Sunrise Rotary is always on the lookout for fun events in our community that we can share with each other and our families.

Orange Sunrise Rotarians celebrate the holiday season together and with their families and close friends. Our "family of Rotary" party includes a gift exchange of small, fun items and a delicious meal at a local restaurant.
Orange Sunrise Rotary plans activities for the whole family to enjoy. Members open their homes to host barbecue parties and other events. In August of 2009, we gathered with our children and grandchildren for a relaxing potluck pool party.
Rotarians get together to share friendship and fun with their families. In addition to our annual night out bowling, we are big supporters of our local baseball team, the Angels of Anaheim. Clubs in our District meet up for a tailgate party and then head into the Big A to root, root, root for the home team!
In 2009, this annual event became a fundraiser to End Polio Now! Rotarians sold 1,100 tickets and hundreds of Angels ball caps to raise nearly $20,000 for the Rotary Foundation.
Orange Sunrise Rotary families attend the City of Orange July 3rd Celebration to enjoy food, music and fireworks.
Things get wacky as Orange Sunrise holds its annual Rededication Celebration, inducting new officers and kicking off a new Rotary year at Orange Hill Restaurant on June 28, 2009.
Rotarians gather with high school Interact members, college-age Rotaract members, and alumni of District 5320 RYLA camp for a day of food and fun at the Outdoor Education Center in Irvine Regional Park. The Outdoor Education Center is a facility of the Boy Scouts of America and offers a variety of outdoor experiences including Astronomy Camp, Mining Camp, archery, BB gun shooting and obstacle courses.
Each year, the City of Orange hosts "Treats in the Streets", a safe alternative to treat-or-treating for local children. The Orange Plaza area is closed to traffic so that families may safely travel from store to store, collecting treats. Local organizations, including Orange Sunrise Rotary, operate booths selling food, drinks and other goodies. Over the years, Orange Sunrise has operated a family photo booth, snapping pictures of princesses, Spidermen, ninjas and other costumed creatures. We don't make any money on this, but we sure have a good time!
